Nancy A. Blastic

Ms. Blastic was born in East Chicago, Indiana and grew up in Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University in 1985, and graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University in 1988. Ms. Blastic was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1988 and the Florida Bar in 1989. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. She has extensive appellate experience having handled over eighty appeals and fifteen oral arguments.

Ms. Blastic has over twenty five (25) years of experience representing over eighteen (18) different School Districts throughout the State of Florida. She has developed a return to work program for school districts and post-offer medical questionnaires. Ms. Blastic has regularly provided training and education on pertinent issues including ADA, wage and hour issues and other employment related issues in conjunction with workers’ compensation matters. Furthermore, Ms. Blastic has provided counsel and training on unemployment issues, EEOC issues and Florida Retirement System issues. She is an approved vendor with the Florida Educational Risk Managers Association (FERMA).

Ms. Blastic is the mother to three daughters who graduated from Seminole County Public Schools. She has been a member of the PTA and a school volunteer for the over fifteen (15) years. Ms. Blastic also has been a member and volunteer at St. Stephen's Catholic Church for more than a decade.

Ms. Blastic is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (former Orange County Bar Association Co-Chair, Workers’ Compensation Section), Florida Bar (Workers’ Compensation Section), Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL), the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) and Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA). She is a lifelong Girl Scout volunteer and 2013 and 2014 Race Chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Central Florida. Ms. Blastic was awarded the 2011 Woman of Distinction in Law and Government by the Girl Scouts of Citrus for her service to the Central Florida community. She has served as a Mock Court Judge for 2010 and 2011 Barry Law School Mock Court National teams.
