Mr. DeGailler was born just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 2, 1954. He moved to the Orlando area in 1970. Mr. DeGailler graduated with honors from Syracuse University in 1976 with a degree in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1979. Mr. DeGailler was admitted to practice law by The Florida Bar in 1979 and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1980. Mr. DeGailler is also admitted to practice law in Texas as a member of that State Bar. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Practice Section), Atlanta Claims Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Defense Research Institute. From the beginning of his practice of law to present, Mr. DeGailler’s practice has consisted of representing insurance carriers, their insureds, self-insured corporations, and governmental entities in the defense of personal injury, wrongful death, commercial liability, statutory liability, and insurance related litigation in state and federal courts, on both trial and appellate court levels.
