Barbara Anne Eagan is one of less than
160 attorneys who are Florida Bar Board
Certified in Appellate Practice.  She
graduated from the University of Florida College
of Law, with Honors, in 1988.  Ms. Eagan also holds
a masters of arts degree in guidance and counseling from
Rollins College, 1980.  She is a shareholder with
the firm and AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
Ms. Eagan has handled numerous appellate matters in
each of Florida's five district courts of appeal, the
Supreme Court of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of
Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court. These
cases have encompassed most areas of civil and
administrative law; including: complex commercial/business
disputes, constitutional law; land use and zoning, professional
discipline and licensure; employment law, civil rights; aviation regulation;
insurance coverage; professional malpractice; products and premises;
liability; juvenile law; termination of parental
rights; real estate; probate and guardianship; unfair
trade practices and unlawful competition; ADA compliance;
governmental torts; and, workers' compensation.  She has
also litigated complex commercial cases and employment law cases
in the Florida trial courts and the federal district courts.
Ms. Eagan was selected to serve for six years on the Florida Bar
Appellate Court Rules Committee: she was Vice Chair from 2003-2006,
among other honors.  In that capacity, she assisted in the
drafting of the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure which govern
practice in the appellate courts.  She is a founding member of
the Florida Bar Appellate Practice Section and the Orange County
Bar Association Appellate Practice Committee.  Ms. Eagan is a
past member of the Miami/Dade County Appellate Practice Committee
and Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association.  Ms.
Eagan is also a member of the Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use
Law and Employment Law Sections and serves on the Bar's Advertising
and Grievance Committee.  She is a member of the Central Florida
Inns of Court, Florida Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA);
and Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), Central Florida
Chapter.  Ms. Eagan was elected President of the Florida Association
for Women Lawyers (FAWL), 200-2001 and has represented the organization
before the Governor of the State of Florida and the Florida Supreme Court
Task Force on Diversity, among others.  Ms. Eagan is an accomplished
equestrian and has competed with her thoroughbred horses throughout Florida.
