Ms. Riggio was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 25, 1982.  She grew up in Boca Raton, Florida.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 2004.  She spent six months at the National Institutes of Health as a Cancer Research Fellow, and she also worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in the HIV/Hepatitis State Laboratory.  Ms. Riggio then returned to the University of Florida to pursue her Juris Doctor, which she received in 2009.  While in law school, she was a member of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy and the Entertainment Law Review.  Ms. Riggio was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2009 and joined Broussard, Cullen & DeGailler, P.A. in April 2010.
